Description

As an Infrastructure Officer in our Bank, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank’s IT infrastructure to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of systems and networks. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to support the Bank’s operations and strategic initiatives through effective infrastructure management.

Role

As an Infrastructure Officer in our Bank, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the Bank’s IT infrastructure to ensure the availability, reliability, and security of systems and networks. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to support the Bank’s operations and strategic initiatives through effective infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:
  1.  Infrastructure Planning and Strategy:
    –       Develop and implement strategic plans for the Bank’s IT infrastructure, aligning with business objectives and technology trends.
    –       Assess current infrastructure capabilities and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
    –       Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to optimise infrastructure performance and support future growth.
  2. Infrastructure Implementation:
    –       Lead infrastructure projects, including network upgrades, server deployments, and data centre and disaster recovery site expansions, from planning to execution.
    –       Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of infrastructure projects within budget and scope.
    –       Conduct risk assessments and implement security measures to safeguard infrastructure assets and mitigate cyber threats.
  3. System Administration and Maintenance:
    –       Administer and maintain servers, storage systems, network devices, and other infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
    –       Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimise service disruptions and downtime.
    –       Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as patch management, software updates, and system backups, following best practices and change management procedures.
  4.  Network Security and Compliance:
    –       Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
    –       Conduct regular audits, and respond to vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.
    –       Stay abreast of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to network security and data privacy, ensuring adherence to relevant frameworks.
  5. Incident Response and Disaster Recovery:
    –       Develop and maintain incident response plans and disaster recovery procedures to mitigate the impact of system outages, cyberattacks, and other emergencies.
    –       Coordinate incident response efforts, including incident triage, investigation, and resolution, in collaboration with IT teams and stakeholders.
    –       Conduct periodic drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of disaster recovery plans and improve response capabilities.
